Fergus

Fergus offers the visitor many cultural and recreational activities and the spectacular view of the Grand River's gorge and waterfalls. Many of the buildings in Fergus are constructed from stone which was taken from nearby quarries. Fergus was founded in 1833 by Adam Ferguson. The Grand River was an ideal location because it provided power for the mills and a method of transportation for trade with neighbouring communities.
