IROQUOIS SOCIAL WITH THE WAHTA SINGERS
Dance, Songs and Teachings

Out of respect for Rotinonhshon:ni traditions, no alcohol will be served during the Social.

Sip an ASK cocktail. Savour the delights of King caterers while listening to Kate Jones, a folk artist, classically trained in piano.

"The Dinner Hour"

Savour tantalizing mini entrées prepared by seven top King Chefs while being entertained by Sara Moyle and Kevin Hammond of the Humber River Shakespeare Company, Hugh Barnett of Arcadia Academy of Music, vocalist Rachel Miller and classical guitarist Ian Tushingham.

"The Cake Cutting Celebration"

Join us in celebrating the 150th Anniversary of Laskay Hall and the 10th Anniversary of the Humber River being designated a Canadian Heritage River. Representatives from Laskay Hall and TRCA with local dignitaries will officially cut the cake.


6:45 to 7:45 p.m.

THE INCOMPARABLE CARA CHISHOLM

With more than 20 years as a singer, dancer and performer, Cara Chisholm has played the lead roles in “Les Miserables” and “Phantom of the Opera” in Toronto and in London’s The Little Mermaid. For six years, she has been a member of the Juno nominated children’s group, Jam Sandwich. Her career has taken her to the United States, Germany, Egypt, Israel, Cyprus, England, Japan, and the Caribbean. Acting in movies with Bette Midler, Kathleen Turner, Mathew Modine, and Jamie Foxx, she also performed for the late Princess Diana of Wales. With a two and a half-octave range she has the ability to sing pop, country and rock, jazz and musical theatre.
