Artist's statement
"Collage, with all the tangible textural qualities I so enjoy, has now become my chosen medium. The excitement of papers of every color, texture and pattern, the suggestive qualities that allow me to "build" my paintings, the juxtaposition of these elements which creates the sensuous interplay of form and color- all this gives me the freest, most spontaneous expression I know and a much greater pleasure as a painter than pigment on a palette.&
Represented in over 100 elite corporate collections and an honorary life member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, Ken Prescott has exhibited his collages in numerous one man shows both in Canada and the U.S. and is the recipient of many awards. After 25 years in Vancouver he has settled in King Township to explore new outlets for his work. He is presently represented by the Wellington Gallery in Aurora.
