In my older, silver-based work, I did not manipulate the images, except to select what to show. Now, with digital imagery, I manipulate my images quite a lot.

It’s interesting.

Photography has always enticed us to believe we were seeing the world in its own terms, but now, with digital photography making falsified images so easy, how do we understand the world? And so I push the digital nature of my images to the fore, using technology to explore the interactions between nature and technology, bring out ambiguities, and show the reality behind what’s merely real.
